We want to make sure that there are no problem areas that have to be addressed. Learn more about the exam that we provide and how it pertains to your own oral health.
Checking Out Your Teeth and What it Entails
Going to the dentist at least twice a year for dental exams is big. You need to make sure that you have cleanings and no work that needs to be done. Here are some of the things that our dentists make sure to look at during these visits.
- Any Disease – Gum disease and other problems need to be addressed sooner, rather than later, so these diseases will be checked for.
- Tooth Decay – This is where cavities form, so spotting the areas means that the dentist can schedule you in to come back and have them fixed.
- Bone Loss – X-rays and other methods are used to figure out if the person has suffered from bone loss, this could indicate a bigger problem.
- Bites – The bite and other areas of the mouth will be examined to ensure that the person is comfortable and confident in their oral health. When there is a bite problem, the person is usually referred to an orthodontist.
